Jim & Christine’s Wedding at Stonover Farm
Jim and Christine got married at Stonover Farm in Lenox, Massachusetts, this past September. I worked with Jim and Christine for a year to develop a lighting design for the barn and the beautiful surrounding property that would meet their dreams.
The centerpiece of the design is a 42″ square chandelier in dark wood with 28 realistic flickering LED candles casting a lively warm amber glow, designed and built specifically for Jim and Christine. I suspended it with aircraft cable from the barn rafters in the center of the barn, above the dance floor.

Bistro lights filled the barn, strung on diagonals throughout the space at all heights, low down at the perimeter of the barn and ascending higher towards the center of the barn to emphasize its lofty airspace. The bistro lights provided some wonderful opportunities for the photographers, who had fun with soft-focus effects.
Color-changing LED PAR fixtures flooded the dance floor with light, which I varied throughout the evening to suit the mood of the moment.
Theatrical lekos with foliage gobos made the bridal table radiant.
Look at these beautiful flowers! If you want your flowers to look this amazing, they need directional light to articulate their shapes, colors, and textures, just as much as they need water to drink. Hats off to Crocus Hale on this wedding’s amazing flora.
