A Ten-Year Friendship, then Vows and Cheers at Gedney Farm
Lillian and Adam, inseparable best friends for more than a decade, took the plunge and pledged to be partners for life in a joyful ceremony and celebration at Gedney Farm in New Marlborough, Massachusetts.
Their ceremony took place in a sunny field in late afternoon. The monumental tree that watched over their ceremony seemed to testify to the dedication these two young friends felt to each other.
Lillian and her bridesmaids glowed angelically in the sun.
Delectable appetizers by Gedney Farm’s fantastic catering staff sparkled in the bright sun during cocktail hour.
Inside the barn, festive bistro lights adorned with paper lanterns and flowers by Crocus Hale set the scene for the party, which started off with a raucous hora dance.
Lillian and I designed a simple, playful look with paper lanterns in a variety of sizes, with a color palette of whites, ivories, peaches, and light yellows. The strands of bistro lights were affixed to Gedney Farm’s beautiful wooden posts and beams and strung throughout the airspace of the main level.
Photographer Roey Yohai did a phenomenal job of capturing the details of the design, as well as the jubilance of the celebrants.
A huge thank you to Lillian and Adam’s photograher Roey Yohai for his generous permission to use his photographs on my website.
