A Midsummer Night’s Dream Wedding at The Mount
Lauren and Eric’s wedding at The Mount was every bit the fairy tale that the couple and their loved ones had dreamed of.
Lauren, Eric, and their parents and siblings all took part in creating the look for their sailcloth tent with me when they visited me in my studio in the northern Berkshires several months prior to their wedding. Lauren’s vision was to create something that felt like a scene out of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, where fairies might emerge at any time. I think we succeeded.
Flames danced in copper cauldrons framing the entrance of the tent.
Inside, flowers, tablescapes and trees by Crocus Hale coordinated with the textures and colors on the canvas above.
This is my favorite photo of the newleyweds, posing with their beautiful wedding cake.
This wedding video by the incomparable Christopher Duggan captures the magic:
Here’s my favorite screenshot from Christopher Duggan’s video. The first and last images on this webpage are also screenshots from the video. My gratitude to Christopher for the use of his work on my own website–he’s ever the gentleman colleague!
When it comes to photography I’m no professional, but some of my own iPhone pics from the evening turned out not half bad if I do say so myself. Here’s a picture taken at dusk just before the guests made their way in from the cocktail party at the mansion. The atmosphere surrounding the sailcloth tent was a lovely deep periwinkle blue.
Some dance floor photos:
Such a wonderful magical mystical evening.
